Why Use Mirage?
The answer is.....
Contactors Use Mirage For What You See AND What You Do Not See In Photographs! Please Read On. The response to metallic epoxies has been great and is ever increasing. As such, many manufacturers have developed their own versions of this product. As a pioneer in the early days of metallic epoxies, Liquid Elements is of course very interested in similar products that we find now on the market. We order samples of each metallic epoxy we see and also review the technical information of each, very carefully. What we know of how metallic epoxies should be applied and what happens when not applied this way, is evident in the literature and photos for each competitors product. Since you may not be aware of the differences, we want to provide you with examples and photos below. ![]() Do you see the lines in this sample of metallic epoxy by Westcoat? This picture is from their color chart, which should be a photo of their "best" looking effort. The lines may look subtle in this small picture, but over an entire floor this effect looks terrible. We can show you how to prevent this common mistake. ![]() The round circles in this sample photo of Cohills metallic epoxy shows the characteristics of using a "dispersing agent", which is usually alcohol sprayed onto the surface to get an effect. If a customer wants circles in their floor this is a neat effect, but most people are not going to want this. Mirge does not use a dispersing agent. ![]() This metallic epoxy is very bumpy as you can see where the light reflection hits the floor. High-end designer floors should be perfect. Bumps and bubbles do not cut it! ![]() This is an example of our Mirage metallic epoxy. It always exhibits a flowing marbled effect that looks very natural without circles, guage rake marks or roller lines. There are no bumps, air bubbles or roller lint in this surface and it is perfectly smooth. Above are examples of the differences in quality you can see between our metallic epoxy and some of the competitors. However, there are also many imperfections you cannot see in photos that are an eye sore in real life. These imperfections will make the difference between you being blown away with metallic epoxies or totally disheartened by the imperfections of them. They will also dictate the same response from your customers. Many manufacturers want to sell metallic epoxies today. However, we have not seen one that fully understands how this product should be manufactured and installed. As one of the originators of metallic epoxies, we have been experimenting for years. Let our knowledge help bring you success and not just another headache
